British citizens protest their armed forces' illegal occupation
of Iraq
With the British armed forces heavily
implicated in the latest round of murderous attacks on Iraq, and
British soldiers themselves being killed and wounded in significant
numbers, demonstrations and vigils against the attacks have been
taking place across the country. More are planned, and you can

In addition, a workshop on non-violent direct action and civil
disobedience as a means of protesting against the war is to be
held this Sunday, 14th November, 11am - 4pm, 7a Rampart Street,
London E1 2LA (nearest tube Whitechapel. Call 0845 458 2564 for
more information. From Saturday 13th until Sunday 21 November,
Peggy Gish from the Christian Peacemaker Teams' Iraq Project will
be conducting a speaking tour to call for justice for Iraq's detainees.

On 18 November there will be a gathering to hear "Eyewitness Iraq:
Stories of occupation and solidarity" at 7.30pm in the Friends
House, 173-177 Euston Road, London. With Peggy Gish, Jo Wilding
and Philip Pritchard (who spent a few months in prison after trying
to disarm B52 bombers).
