This year’s Global Day of Action Against Military Spending is to take place on April 12, and events are planned throughout the world, with more and more organizations and individuals signing on. The Food Not Bombs network, School of the Americas Watch, International Network of Engineers & Scientists, and the Global Network against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space are all on board, as are Changemaker in Bangladesh, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom in Switzerland, and Peace Movement Aotearoa in New Zealand.
The instigators want you to organise an event in your area. Send to them for an organisers’ packet which will give you lots of useful advice, including how to turn your event into a media event. Full and daily updated details at this website
