Greece: Communist-led group occupies Finance Ministry
Early in the morning of Friday, 3rd June, members of PAME ( The All Workers Militant Front, founded in 1999 by the KKE, Greek Communist Party) occupied the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Athens, calling upon workers to rise up and stop the government's barbaric EU/IMF-dictated attack on working people, small farmers and the poor. The occupation was described as ‘symbolic’, and designed to draw attention to PAME’s call for a general strike. Take a look at this video of the action.

"Symbolic" is indeed the
"Symbolic" is indeed the word, but the virtue of actions like this is that they strengthen Papandreou's hand in his negotiations with the other Member States. Judging from the leaks in the media, the EU is getting ready to re-schedule the Greek debt, so that the organisers of protests like these can be well pleased with the outcome.
